Did you know:

  1. Your brain weighs only 1300-1400 grams or about 3 pounds, yet runs every body system.
  2. An elephant's brain weighs 6,000 gram.
  3. Though only 2% of your total body weight it requires 20% of the calories you take in as well as 20% of the oxygen.
  4. The number of physical thought pathways that your brain can potentially create is the number 1 followed by 10.5 million kilometers of standard font zero's.
  5. With all the neurons in your brain you can create more ideas than there are atoms in the universe and those ideas rove around your brain at about 428 kilometers per hour. Wow!
  6. If you are female you have about 19.3 billion neocortical neurons, if you are a male you have about 22.8 billion.  You lose about 1 every second. All together you have about 100 billion neurons.
  7. There are about 186 million more neurons in you left hemisphere than your right hemisphere.
